Abacus

The Chinese abacus - two beads above the beam worth five, five below worth one - with a name across the top rail. It comes off the printer already working: every bead slides on its own channel and cannot come off.

Cut flush into the top rail in its own colour. Up to 28 letters.

How it's made. Printed face up in one piece, no glue and no assembly: each rod is a T-channel and each bead rides it on a T-foot, 0.35 mm clear on every sliding face, so the beads are loose the moment it comes off the plate and still cannot lift out. The beam between the decks is solid, so an upper bead (five) and a lower bead (one) can never meet. The name is a flush inlay in the top rail, in its own colour.
