What it is. A study replica, built from the fossil's proportions at its true size - the kind a museum shop sells beside the real thing - not a cast of one specimen. The teeth carry their serrations, the ammonite its ribs, the trilobite its segments; the footprint is pressed into a slab the way a track is found. Made in PLA in the colours above; wipe clean.
On a plinth the piece sits in a pocket cut to its shape, with the species in raised letters below it, the age under that, and your own line - a name, the shop, the site it came from. Alone, it is the piece and the card. Either way the age card is in the box: a credit-card plate with the geologic time scale, Cambrian to today, a marker at your fossil's age, and your line along the bottom.
For shops: put your name on the line and every piece and every card leaves with it. Ask about program pricing for a shelf of them.
