Globe

A real spherical desktop globe — land and ocean boundaries taken directly from Natural Earth's own public-domain coastline data, not drawn by hand. The two hemispheres register together on a rabbet joint at the equator, and the whole globe rests in a stand tilted to Earth's real 23.44° axial tilt. Choose a land color and an ocean color to preview it.

Raised lettering in its own color, wrapped along the Southern Ocean so it follows the curve of the globe. Letters, numbers, spaces and basic punctuation; long text is shortened to what fits.

How it goes together. The globe is two hemisphere shells that meet at the equator on a rabbet (lap) joint — a lip on the northern shell nests into a matching groove on the southern shell, keeping the land/ocean seam aligned all the way around. This joint is registration only, not a snap-fit: Anoor bonds it permanently during assembly, so it's never meant to be reopened. Both pole tips seat into a half-meridian arc stand that's tilted to Earth's real 23.44° axial tilt — the same obliquity that actually gives Earth its seasons, not a decorative angle.
