Pencil Box

The pencil box everyone had in school — a hinged lid, a snap latch on the front, the dimpled top — except this one has their name set right into the lid in a second color, in the colors they pick. Printed to order, so no two are alike.

Letters, numbers, spaces, and basic punctuation. Set flush into the lid in its own color; long names are shortened to what fits.

How it's made. Four printed parts: the base, the lid (with the name inlaid flush), and a small hinge pin — lid and base carry interlocking knuckles along the back, the pin slides through, and the lid swings open past upright. The front latch is a flexible tab on the lid that clicks over a ridge on the base, like the original. A lip inside the rim keeps the closed box aligned and dust-tight. The school size holds full-length pencils, a ruler, and scissors; the compact size suits pens and markers.
