Periodic Tile

One element, as a tile you can hold: the symbol big in the middle, the atomic number and mass at the top, the name along the bottom — all raised in a second colour, on a tile in the colour its group gets on the wall chart, so a set of them reads as the table. A magnet recess on the back for the whiteboard, and your class line engraved behind it. Any of the 118; a class can build the table one tile at a time.

The group's own colour unless you choose one — that's what makes a wall of tiles read as the table.

How it's made. A 60 mm (or 90 mm) square tile, 6 mm thick with rounded corners, printed flat in PLA with no supports. The lettering stands 1.2 mm proud in its own colour and prints as part of the same piece. The magnet recess takes a 10 × 2 mm disc magnet, glued flush. The class line is cut 0.8 mm into the back. Atomic masses are the IUPAC conventional values to three decimals; elements with no stable isotope show their mass number in brackets, as the chart does.

For a class. Order a tile per student and the room builds the table over the year — the group colours are the standard wall-chart ones, so they fall into place. Ask us for a full set of 118 and we'll quote it as one job.
