How it works. The front is a 2 mm plate with the window cut through it and, on its back, a rim round three sides — bottom and both sides, the top left open — as tall as the pocket is deep. The back is a 1.6 mm plate that presses onto four pegs on that rim. Between them: a pocket 1.6 mm deep and a slot along the top edge. The print drops in, sits 0.8 mm loose each side, and the window overlaps it by 2.5 mm all round so it can't fall through. A Polaroid, a photo-booth strip on thin paper, a drugstore print — all sit in the same pocket. To change the picture, slide it out the top.
On the wall, on the shelf. Every frame has a keyhole on the back for a nail (rails of 14 mm and up). The shelf foot is a 70 mm bar with a groove that leans the frame back 12°; the frame's bottom edge drops into it.
Printing. Both plates print flat, the front face down, so the face is glass-smooth; no supports anywhere. The caption is inlaid flush — a second colour 0.6 mm into the face — so nothing catches. Small (strip, Instax, Polaroid, wallet) $12; 4 × 6 $16; 5 × 7 $20.
