Plane Kit

A chunky wooden-toy airplane, printed as a kit: the wing and tailplane slide through slots in the fuselage, the fin drops into the tail, and the propeller spins on a nose axle that holds it on — no glue. The tail number on the fuselage is yours to pick, the way every real aircraft carries its registration.

Up to 6 letters, digits or dashes — N-numbers, initials, a birthday. Set into both sides of the fuselage in its own color. Leave it blank for none.

How it's made. Five printed parts in PLA, all flat on the bed, no supports: the fuselage (152 mm nose to tail with the canopy and the nose axle grown in), a 180 mm one-piece wing and a 70 mm tailplane that push through snug slots in the body, a swept fin whose tab drops into a slot in the tail, and a 64 mm two-blade propeller. The propeller's bore clears the 6 mm axle by 0.4 mm a side so it spins, and the rounded nub on the axle's tip is larger than the bore so it can't slide off — the same joint the Car Kit's wheels ride on. The tail number is set 0.8 mm into both sides of the fuselage and filled in the second color.
