The Chargers · Meccan · 11 verses

Bismi Allāhi ar-raḥmāni ar-raḥīm

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

100:1

Wal-ʿādiyāti ḍabḥā

By the snorting courses,

100:2

Fal-mūriyāti qadḥā

Striking sparks of fire

100:3

Fal-mughīrāti ṣubḥā

And scouring to the raid at dawn,

100:4

Faʾatharna bihi naqʿā

Then, therewith, with their trail of dust,

100:5

Fawasaṭna bihi jamʿā

Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe),

100:6

Inna al-insāna lirabbihi lakanūd

Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord

100:7

Waʾinnahu ʿalā dhālika lashahīd

And lo! he is a witness unto that;

100:8

Waʾinnahu liḥubbi al-khayri lashadīd

And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent.

100:9

Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth

100:10

Waḥuṣṣila mā fī aṣ-ṣudūr

And the secrets of the breasts are made known,

100:11

Inna rabbahum bihim yawmaʾidhin lakhabīr

On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them.
