In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

99:1

Idhā zulzilati al-arḍu zilzālahā

99:2

And Earth yieldeth up her burdens,

99:3

Waqāla al-insānu mā lahā

And man saith: What aileth her?

99:4

Yawmaʾidhin tuḥaddithu akhbārahā

That day she will relate her chronicles,

99:5

Biʾanna rabbaka awḥā lahā

Because thy Lord inspireth her.

99:6

Yawmaʾidhin yaṣduru an-nāsu ashtātan liyuraw aʿmālahum

That day mankind will issue forth in scattered groups to be shown their deeds.

99:7

Faman yaʿmal mithqāla dharratin khayran yarah

And whoso doeth good an atom's weight will see it then,

99:8

Waman yaʿmal mithqāla dharratin sharran yarah

And whoso doeth ill an atom's weight will see it then.
